If you’re looking for a great way to relax and unwind after a long week, consider this delicious root beer sugar scrub. I absolutely love DIY bath and beauty products. First, I love bath and beauty products. What’s better than a little self-care from treating yourself right? It can make even the worst day feel better when you soak in a warm bath, or ease your tension on a big day when you’re able to look your best. But beauty and bath products you make yourself will also make you feel good because you know what’s in them. There are no unknown ingredients going into your body.

In addition, you can take pride in knowing you are using something you created yourself. It feels so much better than just buying some generic item off the shelf. There’s something about it that makes you feel accomplished, special, and like you’re getting an honored treat. Of all the DIY bath and beauty items you could do, one of my favorites is the sugar scrub. Sugar scrubs don’t require any ingredients that you can’t just pick up from the local grocer. This means it’s easy and affordable to get what you need to make them. I love this root beer sugar scrub because it reminds me of youth, of root beer floats before the movies, and it’s just a fun scent.

So, here I’m going to tell you just how to make it for yourself. Let’s start with what you need.

Ingredients:

3 Cups of Brown Sugar
3 Tablespoons of root beer extract
1 Cup of coconut oil

As you can see, it’s only three simple ingredients. Now let’s look at how you do it.

Directions:

Making your scrub is simple.

  1. Mix together all of the ingredients.
  2. Store in an airtight container. If for some reason your scrub is left open, it will feel dry and hard to the touch, but once you use it in the shower, it will work fine.

That’s honestly it! Creating this scrub couldn’t be easier. It makes a great gift idea for tweens and teen or for moms that like sweets.
