Whether you call this state home or just plan to visit, there’s no shortage of things to do in the Garden State. There are so many things to do in New Jersey that even lifelong residents may find something they’ve missed along the way. When planning a trip to New Jersey you will want to see what is going on and choose things to do that will be fun and exciting for everyone in your group. Let’s look at the top three things to do in New Jersey.
Sahara Sam’s Oasis
There’s nothing else like Sahara Sam’s Oasis in the state, and not much that compares in the U.S. This is a water park that you won’t want to miss! Open year round, with indoor and outdoor water fun for the family there’s so much to do that it may take you more than one day. With a lazy river that meanders throughout the property, several different swimming pools and water features both indoors and out as well as a huge variety of water slides everyone will be exhausted and happy after a visit to the Oasis. The newest additions at the Oasis include a family leisure pool and two brand new water slides in the Mirage area. There is more than 80,000 square feet of water park fun just waiting for you to arrive.
Visit the Shore
With several beaches, historical villages and lighthouses to see there’s plenty of excitement on the shore. Many beaches feature boardwalks, shopping and amusement parks right by the ocean. You can stroll the sand, dip your feet in the ocean, surf and swim or just relax on the many pristine beaches of the Jersey shore. Some beaches you may be interested in are Wildwood, Atlantic City and Ocean City. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a full day of family fun there’s a beach for you on the Jersey shore.
Do the Delaware River
The Delaware River offers plenty of opportunities for fun for people of all ages. Tubing, rafting, kayaking and “The Famous River Hotdog Man” stop for food make this an ideal way to spend the day in the sunshine, seeing beautiful scenery and relaxing. If camping is your idea of a great time, why not combine a “roughing it” camping trip with lots of nature and water adventures? The Delaware River Family Campground is a great place to set up camp before heading out into the river.
Not all adventures in New Jersey involve water. There are also historic train rides, museums, paintball, hiking and hot air ballooning. Get out and explore New Jersey. You may be surprised at what you find.
